6 Fun Easter Traditions to Start with Your Family
As my kids get older, I am starting to realize just how important traditions are as a family. Easter
is no exception to traditions, and if you’re looking for some fun Easter traditions you can start
with your family, here are ten fun ideas that are perfect for families of any size with kids of any
age.
Easter is one of the first real celebrations of spring. Brighten your yard or garden by planting
pansies, tulips, or other spring flowers.
Head to your local craft store and get some plastic eggs and decorations. You can either
decorate your regular Christmas tree to give it a second use or get a smaller tree to decorate.
We leave milk and cookies for Santa at Christmas, but what about the Easter bunny? A fun little
Tradition to start in your home could be making treats to leave out for the Easter bunny.
Observe the Lent Season
Lent is a season leading up to Easter where people choose to give up something for 40 days.
This can be a great way to practice gratitude and remind ourselves why we celebrate Easter.
One of the most popular traditions is dying Easter eggs, but you don’t have to dip eggs in
brightly colored dye and call it a day! Instead, consider painting or using stickers to decorate
your eggs.

Connect with your extended family or friends and host an Easter egg hunt for everyone. You
can even fill your eggs with non-candy toys or surprises if you don’t want your little ones filling
up on sugar.
There are a shockingly large amount of movies featuring the spring season or Easter itself!
These can be a fun new tradition that your kids will look forward to even when they have their
own kids!
